Onur Yıldırım is an Assistant Professor of Music at Bilkent University, where he serves as the director of the Bilkent University Studio for Electroacoustic Music (BUSEAM).
His music has been performed at festivals such as Impuls, ManiFeste, June in Buffalo, Creative Dialogue, the Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice (SICPP), and as part of the Unerhörte Musik and Jeunesse series. Performers of his music include Klangforum Wien, Talea Ensemble, International Contemporary Ensemble, Ensemble Interface, Callithumpian Consort, and Hezarfen Ensemble.
Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Yıldırım holds degrees in composition from Columbia University (D.M.A.), Istanbul Technical University’s MIAM (M.Sc.), and New England Conservatory (B.M.).
